Every May, Montpellier hosts FISE (Festival International des Sports Extrêmes), Europe’s largest urban-sports gathering. For five days the banks of the Lez turn into a stage for BMX, skateboard, roller, freestyle scooter, parkour, breaking and 3×3 basketball, with more than 600,000 visitors in strong years.
FISE takes place every May. Current dates are on the official FISE website. The event is held on the Rives du Lez.
A ten-minute walk from the river
FISE takes place along the Lez. From the apartment, the riverbanks are about a ten-minute walk — the same path as the Lez riverside walk. Close enough to go back and forth during the day.
The address: La Perle des Aubes, 53 boulevard Charles Warnery, Les Aubes.
• A 3-bedroom flat for 6 guests, 2 bathrooms.
• Parking in the residence, with a badge.
• Tram line 4, Les Aubes stop, at the foot of the building, if you head to Place de la Comédie, the Corum or Place de l’Europe.
How to get to FISE from the apartment
On foot (the easiest option during the festival) — walk down to the Lez and follow the banks. Allow about ten minutes. Spectator crowds use the same path: leave a little early on final days.
By tram — line 4 links Les Aubes to Place de l’Europe, the usual gateway to the site. The city often reinforces lines 1 to 4 during FISE: check TaM times that week.
By bike — a Vélomagg station is less than 10 minutes away. The Lez cycle path is pleasant outside the festival; during FISE, walk the last stretch.
By car — do not plan to park on the riverbanks. Use the residence car park, then finish on foot.
Book for May

FISE weeks sell out early: groups, families, and travellers who want to skip the hotel. Each year’s dates are on fise.fr.
