Every September, Arabesques brings arts from the Arab world to Montpellier: concerts, dance, talks. Opening nights are often at Opéra Comédie; weekends play at Domaine d’O, under the pines, sometimes also at Halle Tropisme.
The festival has run since 2006, organised by the UNi’SONS association. Dates, venues and current edition: festivalarabesques.fr.
Two tram rides, depending on the venue
From the apartment, tram line 4 serves both poles. For Opéra Comédie: direction B, towards the Corum, stop Observatoire, in about ten minutes — the opera house is then on foot, 11 boulevard Victor Hugo, one minute from Place de la Comédie. For Domaine d’O: L4 towards Place de l’Europe (two stops, not towards the Corum), then L1 towards Mosson to Malbosc – Domaine d’O, in about twenty minutes. North entrance only, 178 rue de la Carrierasse.
The address: La Perle des Aubes, 53 boulevard Charles Warnery, Les Aubes.
• A 3-bedroom flat for 6 guests, 2 bathrooms.
• Parking in the residence, with a badge — useful on festival nights at Domaine d’O.
• Tram line 4, Les Aubes stop, at the foot of the building: Observatoire for the opera, Place de l’Europe then L1 for Domaine d’O.
How to reach the concerts
Opéra Comédie — L4 from Les Aubes, direction B, stop Observatoire. Then walk to 11 boulevard Victor Hugo. Lines 1 and 2 also stop at Comédie, farther from Les Aubes.
Domaine d’O — L4 towards Place de l’Europe, change to L1 towards Mosson, stop Malbosc – Domaine d’O. Do not aim for the château gate: festival access is from the north.
By car — use the residence car park. Domaine d’O has parking on avenue Ernest Hemingway; on weekend nights the tram leaves more time for the concert.
